She has a Masters in Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths College where she attended numerous workshops, tutorials and lectures run by Francis Spufford, Blake Morrison and Maura Dooley. Longlisted for the 2019 Queen Mary Wasafiri New Writing Prize: www.wasafiri.org

During her time at Goldsmiths, she drafted two novels and gave other students feedback on their work. She belongs to a creative writing group of published writers, who meet every other week to critique each other's work.

Nicola has published numerous articles in The Guardian and the charity press. She has been a freelance writer and editor for over 20 years.

Services offered include editing and proofreading creative writing and non-fiction, making it ready to submit to agents and publishers. Nicola can also advise on a covering letter and pitch. Price on application, depending on the standard of a sample chapter.  

Nicola teaches creative and life writing in online and face-to-face workshops, both in groups and individually. Price on application.
